Our Friends

At Cascade Park Animal Hospital , we are very proud of our belief in long, quality lives. We believe in helping our friends to the other side only when medically necessary. Sometimes this means that we accept geriatric patients into our feline nursing home, recently named “House of Paws”. Some of our friends that live with us are featured below.

Edward is 15 years old. Several years ago when he became quite ill, his owners brought him in to see us. We diagnosed him as being diabetic, needing insulin shots twice daily. He now lives with us and loves any attention he can get. His favorite things are lying on people to keep them in place and eating anyone's meal he can find.

Polly was born on August 8 th 1988. She came to live with us when she was just 3 years old because she was not using her litter box correctly. She has been a perfect lady in her potty manners since moving in. Polly has a few medical problems now with older age, but is still the Queen of the clinic.

Fredison is 18 years old. He is the oldest cat living with us, but also the most playful and curious. A few years ago, he came to us with kidney failure. We give him fluids 3 times a week to flush his kidneys and he is maintaining well. He is always looking for a lap and a cuddle.

Marmalade was born in September 1989. She came to live with us several years ago due to strange litter box preferences. She believes that towels are better to potty on than kitty litter. We, her servants, change her towels on a very regular schedule. She has recently been diagnosed with kidney disease, most likely due to age, and now receives subcutaneous fluids several times a week. She is a doll and recently starred as the bride in a wedding ceremony to Edward.

Jack was born in October 1990. He came to us as a kitten that had a fractured leg. He is deaf and easily startled so he lives in a special room that is quieter. Jack enjoys watching the squirrels and birds outside his window. His favorite activity, though, is his morning hug from the animal care attendants.
