Aquatics Exercise
Muscle atrophy can begin within 24-48 hours after an  injury or surgery.  Water buoyancy reduces gravity and stress on the joints.  This allows for earlier physical  therapy so as to speed up the healing process.  Water provides resistance and warm water assists in pain reduction.
Whether your dog trains for agility courses or just needs to shed a few pounds, aquatic sessions are a perfect solution.
Older animals can exercise more effectively as water provides resistance for strengthening the muscles and promotes cardiovascular health.

Electrical stimulation
An electrical current is used to cause a single muscle or a group of muscles to contract.   Along with increasing muscle strength, the contraction of the muscle also promotes blood supply to the area that assists in healing.

Ultrasound
High-frequency sound waves produce heat that can reduce pain. Ultrasound therapy provides deep heat to the affected tissues. It may help:
  • Stimulate healing without causing irritation
  • Speed metabolism and improve circulation
  • Break up and soften scar tissue and adhesions
  • Reduce chronic inflammation or swelling
  • Enhance the body’s natural healing process
